No, no – I haven’t forgotten about this one 🙂 To be honest, there have been a lot of other interesting projects started recently, so P-51 had to wait a moment for its time.
Now, as you can see, it is very close to the final. Just a few things missing or to be corrected.
One major fault I made was applying the oil wash from MiG – I really  should had used an acrylic one here, because the oil wash turned out to be harmful to the AK Interactive metalic paints, despite a protective layer of the acrylic glossy varnish. Did my best to bring it back to the acceptable look.  A lesson learned.
